The Little Brown Jug is an award-winning pub located in the heart of Chiddingstone Causeway, Tonbridge. As part of the family-run WH Pubs group, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality and culinary experiences in a warm and welcoming environment.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Little Brown Jug. This role is vital in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and maintaining our high standards of quality and service. Live-in accommodation is available.

Key responsibilities
- •Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality
- •Supervise and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
- •Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed
- •Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed
- •Manage stock levels and order supplies to maintain optimal inventory
- •Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service
- •Implement training programmes for new team members
- •Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
